This is a very special day for us and it is a reminder of just how lucky we are to have this special boy in our lives. Since the moment he was born he has been blessed, and in return blessed us with witnessing a miracle. I am honored to think God entrusted me to take care of this little boy.
Collin has a contagious smile and the cutest giggles. He is a very playful boy and already has a great sense of humor. He likes to pretend to "bite" and he giggles every time. Sometimes he actually does bite, and then he cries! He's too funny... He enjoys being tickled and thrown up in the air. He loves music and dancing too.
We still see physical therapy every few weeks. We really aren't concerned about his development and this point. He is pulling himself up to stand, crawls around like a champ..and should be learning to walk any day now. He uses a v-tech learn-to-walk toy..and does pretty well. He just seems scared to stand completely on his own with out holding onto something right now..but no rush, he will walk when he is ready.
Lately, we have been trying to get him off the bottle and using sippy cups more often. He does well, but REALLY wants the "bubba" at nap times. It is especially hard if he sees his little sister with a bottle! He has gone so far as to grab it out of her mouth and start chugging! hahah. Little stinker, he is!
Collin has gone through some little phases, and currently he is not being so keen to strangers. He does what we call the crank face..we also have nick-named him 'fussy Gus' :) He knows when someone is a stranger and he gives them the meanest look, its quite comical. Lately he has also had a huge fascination with lights especially the hanging light over our dining room table, he waves to it! We also learned that he is scared of the "MOOOOO" sound. We were teaching him what noises animals make, and every time we get to cow, he cries! Not sure why?!
He finds his sister funny.. he giggles at her and loves to touch her hair and kiss her head. They are very sweet together.
Since it will be Collin's corrected one year, I am going to do a 'cake-smash' photoshoot with him this weekend :) Should be fun!
